About
This Academy provides students with an introduction to the field of education over the course of four years. Students in the Academy have the opportunity to observe and interact with preschool age children on-site, visit local elementary and middle schools, as well as engage with other education organizations for more hands-on experiences.
Furthermore, future educators learn about child development, classroom management, and many other education-related concepts. A variety of guest speakers provide insight into career options such as social work, psychology, child advocacy, and teaching.
The focus of the Academy is on teaching children in all subject areas and grade levels but other career options may be explored as well.
